Using Dropbox With MinDgo 2 v1.1

Introduction In this tutorial we’ll be covering the Dropbox features built into MinDgo 2. This tutorial uses MinDgo 2 v1.1. You can expect the Dropbox experience to improve in later releases. Starting Mind Map Start with an example mind map (Groceries.mm), loaded into Freeplane. Uncheck some items (nodes) by changing the node icons. Save the mind map to a folder on Dropbox. Import/Edit/Export Launch MinDgo 2 on an iOS device and import the Groceries.

A few important announcements regarding the MinDgo iOS app; first the good news… A new MinDgo app is on it’s way. This new MinDgo is based on a fresh code-base and will have a new (as of yet unknown) name. Make sure that your mind maps are saved outside of MinDgo so that you’ll be able to import them into the new version when available. now the bad news…

Deprecated Dropbox API Changes MinDgo

Dropbox has deprecated the v0 API, used by MinDgo, and will completely drop support on December 1, 2012. In order to continue supporting Dropbox, MinDgo will need to use the v1 SDK which requires iOS 4.0 or higher. So in the near future MinDgo will need to make a decision to either (1) drop support for pre-iOS 4 devices or (2) drop support for Dropbox.
